Seaweed Farming
Driven by our sister’s company business that evolves in the production of ‘Carrageenan’, a substance extracted from Eucheuma cottonii and spinosum seaweed that has been use for century as raw material for organic processed food ingredient and organic fertilizer production and its been export world wide from our factory in Kupang - NTT.
Our group company has been supporting the local seaweed farmers in NTT province; Kangge, Lapang, Rote, Semau and Timor islands and Luang island in Molucca Province and we’re in charge for operating the plantation in Alor region. We’ve been supporting the local farmers with free; seaweed seedling, seaweed-floating cage and professional assistant to cultivate the seaweed. By doing this we’re in line to support the “Blue Economy, Women Empowerment, Carbon Capture and Sustainability” program. Farmers are able to harvest and earn income every 45 days all year round without worrying of not being able to catch fish for food and to earn everyday income.
